I can confirm that new USC Upstate head coach Dave Dickerson will add Chatham University (PA) head coach Andrew Garcia to his staff.

Garcia was hired as the first-ever men’s basketball coach in Chatham history back in 2014. He has also served as an assistant at DII Flagler College (FL) and DIII Carnegie Mellon University (PA). Garcia played collegiately at Tulane and served as a captain his senior year when Dickerson was the head coach there. After graduation, he began his career as a graduate assistant at Marshall.

He will join Dr. Ron Bradley and Stacey Palmore on Dickerson’s inaugural staff at Upstate.

An official job announcement is expected shortly.
