VerHulst named Assistant Basketball Coach at Murray State

Murray State head men’s basketball coach Ryan Miller announced the hiring of Jordan VerHulst, who joins the Racers for the 2025-26 season as assistant coach/offensive coordinator.

“We are excited to welcome Jordan VerHulst to our Murray State coaching staff,” said Coach Miller. “His extensive experience at Memphis, Auburn, and the G-League, paired with his offensive expertise, will elevate our program and help us compete for championships in the Missouri Valley Conference.”

“I’m humbled and appreciative of the opportunity to come join Coach Miller’s staff at Murray State,” said VerHulst. “It’s an honor to work with him and the staff that he’s put together every day as we strive for championships. I’m ecstatic about the potential of this program and can’t wait to get to work. Go Racers!”

VerHulst joins the Racers from the University of Memphis where he had served as Director of Scouting and Director of Operations. He was assistant head coach at Chipola College in 2020-21 with a program that made it to the NJCAA DI Final Four. In 2019-20, VerHulst was assistant coach with the NBA G-League’s Grand Rapids Drive and prior at Grand Valley State in 2018-19 coaching at his alma mater. VerHulst coached four seasons at Auburn University as Video Coordinator and Special Assistant to the Head Coach.

A graduate of Grand Valley State in 2008, VerHulst earned his master’s degree from the University of Memphis in 2012.
