Several moves impacting the Villanova Basketball Staff were announced today.

Doug Martin, the associate head coach at Paul VI High School in Virginia, joins the staff as an assistant coach. In addition, John Shackleton is the new strength coach for men’s and women’s basketball. He replaces Lon Record, who accepted a position at the University of Illinois earlier this summer.

Meanwhile, Doug West, who served two stints as a Wildcat assistant from 2007-10 and 2011-12, is departing Villanova to pursue other opportunities.
