Virginia Military Institute head coach Dan Earl has lost two assistant coaches this off-season – Jason Slay became an assistant at Youngstown State, and Chris Kreider joined the staff at Rice. I have now heard from good sources that their replacements will be Kevin Carroll and Austin Kenon.

Carroll was most recently the head basketball coach at DII Maryville University. The former Air Force assistant went 87-112 in his seven seasons at Maryville.

Kenon starred at VMI from 2007-11 where he scored 1,767 points and knocked down 349 career triples. He had spent time as an assistant coach at DIII Virginia Wesleyan.
