Walker named Associate Head Coach at Hocking College

Dametrius Walker has been hired as the Associate Head Men’s Basketball Coach at NJCAA D2 Hocking College (OH).

Walker had spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach at Fort Scott Community College (KS). The Columbus, OH native also spent one season as a graduate assistant at Newman University (KS).

As a player at Fort Scott CC, Walker was selected as Freshman of the Year in 2015, and voted one of the top 100 junior college players in the nation. He is in the top five in Fort Scott’s scoring and rebounding history books.

Following his time at FSCC, he moved on to D2 Newman University, where he led the team in scoring in 2017-18. The next season, Walker led the conference in steals per game (2.1) as the Jets tied the school record for most single season wins in the NCAA D2 era.

Walker joins a program that went 24-2 (11-1) last season under Head Coach Ryan Miley.
