Well placed sources have told HoopDirt that New Mexico assistant Chris Walker is going to be added to Jay Wright’s staff at Villanova. Walker was a point guard at ‘Nova from 1988-1992. He played for Rollie Massimino and was an assistant for the Wildcats for one season under Steve Lappas. He has also served as an assistant at UMass, Loyola Marymount, Pepperdine, and Vanderbilt. His 404 assists at Villanova rank him 13th all-time. He is also 8th in career steals with 185.

Walker will replace Patrick Chambers who was named head coach at Boston University earlier this spring.
