Wayne State College has announced the finalist for their head coach position. They have narrowed the list to following.
Paul Combs, is currently the head coach at Wisconsin-Platteville. He has been there since 03-04 and has compiled a 103-56 record. Prior to Wisconsin-Platteville he was the head coach at Lakeland College for four years.
Mike DeGeorge, is currently the head coach at Cornell College. He has been there for four years. He was previously the head coach Eureka College. He was also an assistant at Grinnell College.
Eric Henderson, who has coached at Iowa State for the last three seasons under former Wayne State Head Coach Greg McDermott. Henderson also coached at Wayne State and is in the Wayne State Hall of Fame from his playing days.
Shane Murphy, the former head coach at University of Sioux Falls. Murphy resigned last season has the all time winningest coach with a record of 154-77. Murphy also was an assistant at the University of South Dakota.
Jamie Stevens, who is the head coach at Central Wyoming College and former assistant coach at Colorado School of Mines.
Out of the five finalists you would have to give the edge to Henderson. If the school is looking for someone with Head coaching experience they might go with someone like Combs or Murphy.
