Western Illinois’ Molinari wins 300th

Western Illinois head coach Jim Molinari picked up his 300th career victory Thursday evening (Jan. 23) inside Western Hall, downing the South Dakota Coyotes by 18 points, 79-61.

Jim Molinari took over the Western Illinois program at the start of the 2008-09 season, and during his fourth and fifth seasons at the helm Molinari led the Leathernecks to back-to-back College Basketball Invitationals. The two postseason appearances were the Leathernecks’ first-ever in their Division I history.

He has also been the head coach at Northern Illinois and Bradley.
