The Nyack Warriors have hired Pershin Williams as an assistant coach. Williams had most recently served as an assistant coach for four seasons at Georgia Southern University. Prior to Georgia Southern he also served in a similar capacity at Lafayette College and the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
While an assistant at Georgia Southern, Pershin assisted the program in achieving a second place finish in the Southern Conference in 2012 as the team earned the second best turn-around in league history. During his tenure the Eagles also developed four All-Conference players. In 2013 Georgia Southern earned it’s first ever win over an ACC program with a victory over Virginia Tech.
A Columbus, GA native, Williams played for three years at Columbus State where he helped the Cougars achieve a 27-5 record. In his junior season, he earned a top national ranking at point guard before transferring to the University of North Florida. Williams set the Osprey single-season records for assists (161) and steals (69). He graduated from North Florida in 2005 with a degree in Education of Sports Leadership.
