Alabama A&M Men’s Basketball Head Coach Willie Hayes has announced his resignation, effective immediately.

Hayes, who played at Alabama A&M, was head coach for six years and also served as an assistant coach.

“We thank Coach Hayes for his service and commitment to Alabama A&M University,” Director of Athletics Bryan Hicks said. “We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”

A search for a replacement will begin immediately.
