Former Wisconsin men’s basketball program assistant, A.J. Van Handel, and former team manager, Kat Vosters, have been hired to fill the vacant video coordinator and program assistant positions, respectively, head coach Bo Ryan announced on Monday.
Van Handel, who spent the past three seasons as the program assistant at UW, will take over the duties of former video coordinator, Joe Krabbenhoft, who left to take an assistant coaching position at South Dakota State University. Van Handel will enter his eighth season with the program in 2013-14, as he also served as a team manager for the Badgers for four years.
A native of Ashwaubenon, Wis., Van Handel earned his bachelor’s degree in history and politcal science from Wisconsin in 2010. In addition to serving as a student assistant coach for two seasons at Ashwaubenon High School, Van Handel has worked the UW Boys Basketball Camps in each of the past six summers.
Vosters, a 2013 graduate of UW, enters her fifth season with the program as she assumes the role of program assistant beginning in 2013-14. Vosters served as a team manager for four seasons with the Badgers.
