In a strange turn of events, the final two candidates to replace Doug Wojcik at the College of Charleston have both withdrawn their names from consideration for the position. I can confirm that both Anthony Johnson and Mike Young are no longer involved with the job. Yesterday, I mentioned that they were the two candidates that the search committee had recommended. It is unclear at this time if any of the other four finalists (Virginia associate head coach Ritchie McKay, NC State associate head coach Bobby Lutz, Clemson assistant Earl Grant, and UConn assistant Karl Hobbs) are still in the mix. There were early rumblings of Bobby Cremins returning to C of C on an interim basis, but those died out a bit last week.
