HoopDirt.com has learned that Dartmouth will hire Northeastern associate head coach David McLaughlin to replace Paul Cormier as the Big Green’s new basketball coach. McLaughlin had spent the past three seasons at Northeastern. He had been the head coach at DII Stonehill College for nine seasons prior to joining Bill Coen’s staff at NU.  McLaughlin is the all-time wins leader at Stonehill (189), and was a two-time Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) and NABC Northeast District Coach of the Year.

The official announcement is expected later today.
