Maryville University-St. Louis (Division II, Great Lakes Valley Conference) is in search of a full time volunteer assistant coach.  Position reports to the head basketball coach and provides the opportunity to gain valuable coaching experience in one of the premier NCAA Division II athletic conferences.

Duties assigned may include the following, but not be limited to, based on skills and experience:

* On Floor Coaching
* Opponent Scouting
* Player Development
* Practice Preparation
* Film Exchange
* Recruiting
* Team Travel
* Academic Monitoring
* Administrative Duties
* Social Media Coordinator
* Other duties assigned by the head coach
* Assist with team fund raising and alumni activities

REQUIREMENTS:
* Integrate the core values of being honest, driven and humble
* Bachelor’s Degree
* Previous experience playing or coaching at the high school, collegiate or professional levels
* A strong desire to progress their careers in collegiate coaching
* Be willing to take on a full time work load during season
* Valid driver’s license in good standing from the state of residence and the ability to drive vans

PREFERRED:
* Collegiate or professional playing or coaching experience
* A proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or other image-making software
* Experience preparing scouting reports
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills

The position is a true volunteer position, but the possibility of getting a part time job outside the university can be obtained with the help of the athletic department.
