Description:	Edison State Community College is seeking an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach. This individual is responsible in assisting the head coach in developing and maintaining a competitive basketball program within the National Junior College Athletic Association’s Region XII and Ohio Community College Athletic Conference. The assistant coach is responsible in assisting in recruiting eligible student-athletes, particularly local athletes; providing instruction in the fundamentals of competitive basketball to help student-athletes improve their athletic skills; and supporting the importance of academic effort to help student-athletes achieve their educational goals. this position reports directly to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach.    Examples of Duties: Candidates must have a strong commitment to academic and athletic success, with a demonstrated ability to identify and recruit student-athletes, a proven record of leadership, and strong organizational skills.    Qualifications: Associate’s and/or bachelor’s degree preferred, along with two to three years of coaching experience. Collegiate playing experience is a plus. The successful candidate must have a belief in the holistic development of students and have the ability to operate effectively within a values-based environment.
