The Graduate Assistant position at CMU is an assistant coaching position.  Job duties include but are not limited to Coaching the Junior Varsity Team, assisting the head and associate coach with the recruitment of student athletes for varsity and junior varsity teams, player development, on court coaching in varsity practices, monitoring player academics and retention, opponent scouting,  work closely with coaching staff including film editing, academic liaison, oversee student managers, knowledge/use of synergy sports tech and FastModel products is preferred.  Previous experience in coaching/student manager strongly encouraged general knowledge of intercollegiate athletics, NAIA policies and compliance issues; strong interpersonal, planning and organizational abilities; and, excellent oral and written communications skills. Competence with technology resources and a current driver’s license are vital to fulfilling the responsibilities of this position.  This position will be required to obtain a CDL license for driving JV team bus.  GA positions work with both varsity and junior varsity programs.
Position has two options.  $5000 stipend plus on campus housing with free school or $7500 with no housing and free school.  Applicants may take 18 hours per year.  10-month contract.
Qualifications: Must be eligible for admission into the Central Methodist University graduate program.
