Job Summary
Graduate Assistants at Colorado Christian University (CCU) are responsible for assisting the Head Coaches in all areas necessary to ensure the spiritual, academic and athletic success of the program. The graduate assistant must understand the dynamics of a small university setting and be a committed member of the CCU Department of Athletics as well as the program.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assist with Christian mentoring/discipleship of female basketball athletes.

2. Assist with all practices for Varsity and JV
3. Assist with all home and Away contests.

4. Assist with additional responsibilities assigned by the Director of Athletics.

5. Assist with other aspects of the program as determined by the Head Coach (e.g. recruiting fundraising, travel, development of JV program).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Exhibit strong knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, ability to pass NCAA coaching test.

2. Exhibit strong ability to integrate Christian faith into coaching.

3. Exhibit strong ability to disciple/mentor student-athletes in their Christian faith through platform of basketball.

4. Exhibit strong ability to minister to those outside the team with the gospel through the platform of basketball.

5. Exhibit strong knowledge of basketball and ability to communicate that knowledge effectively to student-athletes.

6. Exhibit strong ability to communicate and interact appropriately with college student-athletes.

7. Two to four years of collegiate-level coach/player experience at the NCAA level preferred.

8. Experience with integrating discipleship and evangelism into a basketball program desired.

9. Experience in a similar private Christian institution desirable.

10. Strong discipleship/Christian mentorship skills desired.

11. Job requires graduate assistant to obtain CDL driver license.

12. Acceptance into a CCU graduate program.
13. 32 hour work week, August 1st- May 31st agreement.
