Rogers State men’s basketball head coach Justin Barkley announced the hiring of Marc Rozanski as an assistant coach heading into the 2016-17 season.
“We are delighted to add Marc to our staff,” Barkley said. “He will bring valuable experience to our program and staff adding a wealth of knowledge he has learned not only as a player, but as a collegiate coach the last few years. I felt he fit what we were looking for as we continue to build a solid program here at RSU.”
Rozanski joins the defending Heartland Conference regular season champions after spending the previous year as an assistant at NCAA Division I University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. While with the Vaqueros, he was a major part of recruiting, film breakdown, team travel, scouting opponents, and maintaining academic standards.
Prior to his stint at UTRGV, Rozanski worked one season as an assistant coach at NCAA Division II West Virginia Wesleyan (2014-15), NCAA Division III Texas at Tyler (2013-14), and Saint Mary of the NAIA (2012-13)
A native of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, Rozanski was a two-year starter at Ave Maria University where he was named team MVP in 2009-10. He helped the Gyrenes to a runner-up finish at the USCAA National Tournament in 2010-11 earning honorable mention All-America honors ranking third in the nation in assists.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Ave Maria in 2011 and graduated from the University of Saint Mary with an MBA in 2015.
