Valley City State University (ND) head coach Jeff Kaminsky won the 400th game of his career this past Saturday with a 69-49 victory over Mayville State.
Kaminsky’s career milestone comes in his eighth season at Valley City State with his Viking career record now standing at an impressive 131-99. Prior to coming to Valley City State, Kaminsky coached at the University of Wisconsin-Superior for 11 seasons.
Kaminsky returned the Viking Men to their traditional form in the 2007-08 season when the program won 20 games for the first time in 20 seasons, finishing with a 22-8 record and narrowly missing the NAIA National Tournament. He then followed it up by leading the Vikings to the DAC regular season Co-Championship in 2009-10, finishing with a 20-10 overall record before leading the Vikings to another 20-10 season in 2011-12.
