Earlier this morning in the Daily Dirt, I mentioned George Mason assistant Dane Fischer as the leader at William & Mary. According to a report just posted by Jon Rothstein, it appears to be done, and Fischer will be hired as the new head basketball coach at W&M.

Fischer has been at George Mason with Dave Paulsen since 2015. He also spent seven seasons with Paulsen at Bucknell, and has worked as an assistant at Rider. Fischer began his career as an assistant at DIII Williams College (2003-05) where he surprisingly worked for Dave Paulsen.
