John Carroll Athletics has announced that Head Coach Pete Moran ’08 will be stepping away from the John Carroll Men’s Basketball program in order to address a personal health matter. 

Assistant Coach Dave Wojciechowski will assume the role of interim head coach until Moran is able to return to the bench. 

“Our foremost concern is Coach Moran and his well-being. Pete has my full support and I look forward to welcoming him back to the program when he is ready,” said Brian Polian ’97, Vice President for Athletics and National Engagement. “In the near term, I have complete confidence in Coach Wojciechowski and our staff. We have no doubt that they will have our team prepared and ready to compete as we move forward in this season.” 

Wojciechowski, in his second season on the coaching staff, is joined by other star assistants on the staff: Spencer Roule ’14, ’17G, Pat Moran ’00, Matt Moran ’04, and Bruce Johnson.

“I appreciate the overwhelming support from the administration, athletic trainers, coaching staff, players, and Coach Polian. But most importantly my family. I look forward to returning in the near future,” said Moran.
