Long-time St. Joseph’s-Brooklyn head basketball coach Joseph Cocozello is no longer working at the college. His bio has been 404’d from the website, and his name removed from the staff directory. Cocozello has been the Bears part-time head coach since 2002 and has most recently been serving as the Principal at a Catholic School in Staten Island.
A 1995 graduate of St. Joseph’s, he guided the program to 264 victories during his tenure while overseeing its transition from the USCAA to the NCAA in 2007. He first spent three seasons as an assistant with the Bears before taking the helm as head coach 23 years ago.
