Former Wofford Head Basketball Coach Dwight Perry issues statement

Dwight Perry, who was dismissed as the head men’s basketball coach at Wofford back on September 12th, has issued his first public statement since his release:

Perry and associate head coach Tysor Anderson were let go following controversy over on-campus dining cards – a seemingly minor violation.

Perry took over as the Terrier’s interim head coach back in December 2022, and was elevated to the full-time position following that season. He went 48-43 (.527) during his tenure, including a 19-16 campaign last season.

Today, Wofford alum Kevin Giltner, who had been serving as an assistant at Virginia Tech, was officially named as the Terriers new head basketball coach.
