INTERIM TAG REMOVED: Kennen named Head Basketball Coach at North Florida

Bobby Kennen has been named the full-time head men’s basketball coach at University of North Florida after serving the 2024–25 season in an interim role. Kennen, who spent 16 seasons as an assistant with the Ospreys before replacing Matthew Driscoll last May, guided UNF to a 7–25 record this season.

According to athletic director Nick Morrow, the decision to remove the interim tag came shortly after the Ospreys’ loss to University of West Georgia in the opening round of the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament. Morrow said the university believes in Kennen’s leadership and is committed to supporting the program moving forward, including increased participation in NIL and revenue-sharing opportunities for student-athletes.
