According to a Jon Rothstein report, Cal Baptist head basketball coach Rick Croy will join Randy Bennett’s new staff at Arizona State as an assistant.
Croy had been at CBU for the past 13-seasons where he oversaw their move from D2 to D1.
The 2025-26 season marked the most successful Division I campaign in CBU history. The Lancers won a program-best 25 games at the D1 level and advanced to the NCAA Tournament, where they fell to Kansas in the First Round. Croy also surpassed 400 career wins during the season, and led CBU to its first-ever WAC Tournament Championship.
Croy wraps up his tenure at CBU with a 275-137 (.667) record.
More on this one once it becomes official.
