I have heard from multiple sources that Mike Ruane will depart as the head basketball coach at D2 Franklin Pierce University (NH). It sounds like he will become a high school coach / administrator in Florida.
Ruane has been a collegiate head coach since 2000. He spent 22 seasons at D2 University of Bridgeport (2000–22) before a one-year stint at NJCAA D2 Palm Beach State in Florida. In 2023, he returned to the Northeast-10 Conference to take over the program at Franklin Pierce. The veteran coach has compiled a 433–306 career record across his three head coaching stops.
