Jeremy Grubbs has been named the assistant coach of the Coker College men’s basketball team, head coach Dan Schmotzer has announced. Grubbs joins Schmotzer as he begins his 25th season as the head coach of the Cobras.
A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Grubbs served as a student assistant for the men’s basketball team under head coach Jamie Dixon for four years, including helping lead the Panthers to the 2008 Big East Championship.
After graduation, Grubbs was the assistant men’s basketball coach at La Roche College for two seasons and last year was the head boys basketball coach a St. John Central High School in Bellaire, Ohio.
