A few things from the MD, VA, PA area (with shout-outs to NJ and FL mixed in)…
• It sounds like Washington College (MD) assistant Dorian Long will become the DBO at James Madison. He joined the Washington College staff two seasons ago – he had previously worked at his alma mater Neumann University as an assistant. I have also heard that Ryan Van Zelst will be Long’s replacement at WC. Van Zelst has been an assistant at York (PA) for the past two seasons.
• I have heard from a good source that Shenandoah University (Va.) assistant Allen Corbin has departed and will join the basketball staff at IMG Academy (FL). Corbin had been at SU since 2011 and has also been an assistant at Shepherd (W. Va.) University. .
• Word on the street is the St. Peter’s will hire Susquehanna (PA) assistant Greg Van Pelt in an administrative role. In addition to his time at Susquehanna, Van Pelt also spent two seasons on the staff at East Stroudsburg.
•I have heard that St. Mary’s (MD) assistant Mike Zito will join Don Friday’s staff at Penn State Harrisburg. Zito has also worked with both the men’s and women’s programs at Lock Haven (PA).
