Three separate sources have all told me with in the past hour that Rhode Island head coach Bob Walsh has been offered the Maine job. Walsh just completed his ninth season at RIC, and spent seven seasons as an assistant at Providence before that. No word yet on if he will accept the position. We can confirm that the other finalist was Northeastern associate head coach Dave McLaughlin. More on this as I hear it.
