I have heard from a few good sources on this one..sounds like Illinois Springfield is set to name their next head coach – the announcement could come as early as tomorrow. It sounds like the finalists are Mitch Gilfillan (assistant coach SIU Edwardsville), Al Biancalana (former assistant UIC), and Bill Walker (assistant coach Drake).

According to one of the best sources out there, Bill Walker is the choice. In addition to his time at Drake, he has also worked at Texas A&M and Minnesota. He has also spent time in the NBA as a scout for the New Orleans Hornets.
