Some names that I’ve heard surrounding the search to replace Cliff Warren at Jacksonville…
• Darrin Horn – Former head coach South Carolina and Western Kentucky. Holds a 171-111 record in 9 seasons as a DI head coach. Had 4 straight 22+ win seasons at WKU capping it off with a 29 win campaign in 2007-08. Also worked as an assistant at Marquette under Tom Crean.
• Ryan Odom – Assistant coach Charlotte. Has been on Alan Major’s staff at Charlotte for the past four seasons. Was a long-time member of Seth Greenburg’s staff at Virginia Tech. Is the son of former South Carolina and Wake Forest head coach Dave Odom.
• Spencer Wright – Associate head coach Mercer. The Bears won the A-SUN tournament and will face Duke on Friday. Wright has been at Mercer since 2008. Also worked with Mercer head coach Bob Hoffman at UTPA and has been an NBA Developmental League assistant (Rio Grande).
• Jeremy Shulman – Head coach Eastern Florida State College. Has been at EFSC since 2010. Has won 50 games over that past two seasons. Was the long-time director and coach of the Midstate Ballerz (TN) AAUprogram.
• Jim Martin – Head Coach Providence (FL) HS. A Jacksonville alum. Has compiled a 354-67 record in 15 seasons at Providence HS (in Jacksonville). Has on two state titles, including last year’s Class 3A crown.
