Daily Dirt – 5/8/13

Today’s "dirt"…

• I can confirm that the University of San Francisco will hire David Rebibo as an assistant. He has been the head coach at El Camino Real HS (CA) for the past six seasons. This should be officially announced today.

• Gary Parrish of CBSSports.com tweeted that Arizona State will promote Eric Musselman to associate head coach. He just completed his first season on the Sun Devils staff. He is the former head coach of the Sacramento Kings and the Golden State Warriors.

• It sounds like Indiana University Pennsylvania associate head coach Chris Fite is involved with the opening at fellow PSAC school Shippensburg. Fite has been at IUP for the past seven seasons – he played professionally overseas for eleven seasons after leaving Rochester as the all-time leading scorer in 1992. It sounds like he was on campus for an interview yesterday.

• I have heard that former Florida Southern standout Rion Rayfield is involved with an assistant spot at his alma mater. Head coach Linc Darner is looking to replace assistant Tom Church, who departed last month to become the head coach at St. Joe’s (IN). Rayfield is a 2011 FSC grad who has been playing professionally since then.

• I have heard that Kyle Wilson has become the graduate assistant at Northwestern Oklahoma State. He is a former student assistant at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M .
