• I can confirm that Dan Russell has been named as the new coach at Casper College (WY). He replaces Joel Davidson who departed last week for an assistant spot at Northern Colorado. Russell had spent the past five seasons as Davidson’s assistant at Casper.

• I have heard that Lamar assistant Clif Carroll is the front runner at McMurry (TX). He spent this past season on Pat Knight’s staff, and had worked for Bob Knight as a student at Texas Tech. An official announcement at McMurry is expected this week.
