In the wake of today’s ouster of Bobby Gonzalez at Seton Hall, Rutgers has decided to keep their coach. Rutgers AD Tim Pernetti just issued a statement saying, ""Fred Hill is under contract as our men’s basketball head coach. We had a productive meeting and look forward to working together to build the program."

Both Gonzalez and Hill entered the season on the "hot seat" – after Gonzo’s team made the NIT, most thought he was safe and Hill would be the one to go. Strange stuff going on in the Big East….

Also, I’ve heard that Iona head coach Kevin Willard is very high on Seton Hall’s list of replacements for Gonzalez.
