Portland State has just finished up their interviewing process and is looking to name a head coach by sometime next week. The leading candidate to take over for Ken Bone is associate head coach Tyler Geving. He has been at Portland State for the past 4 seasons. Before Portland State he had been an assistant at Central Washington, Highline Community College, Seattle Pacific, and Seattle University, and was a co-head coach at Edmonds Community College.
The other candidates are Cameron Dollar, Jim Shaw and Phil Matthews. Dollar has spent the last 7 seasons at Washington. Shaw has been an assistant at UW for the past 5 seasons. Matthews was the head coach at San Francisco and is now an assistant at Nebraska.
