Multiple outlets are reporting that two Big Ten head coaches have received contract extensions:
NEBRASKA – The World-Herald confirmed today that head coach Tim Miles has received a one-year extension. His new deal will take him through the 2019-20 season. It is not clear if he also received a salary increase as well. Miles just completed his third season at Nebraska where he holds a 47-49 record (13-18 in 2014-15).
NORTHWESTERN – Head Coach Chris Collins has received an extension according to the Chicago Tribune. No details have been released yet, but Collins was quoted as saying, “It’s not ‘coach Cal’ money, but it’s in the ballpark of what guys in our league are making. I want to be at Northwestern and love what we’re doing. I just wanted to be treated fairly.” The long-time Duke assistant has gone 29-36 in his first two seasons at NU.
More details on both of these when they are officially announced.
