According to the BruinReportOnline.com, UCLA will retain head basketball coach Steve Alford.  According to the report, after this year’s team lost in the Pac-12 Tournament to USC and finished the season with a 15-17 record, the disapproval of the third-year coach from donors, boosters and fans appeared to reach an unprecedented level.  BruinReportOnline.com is reporting however that their sources are indicating that there were enough very influential donors who favored keeping Alford, and that was a substantial factor in the UCLA administration choosing to retain him.
