HoopDirt.com can confirm that Russ Beck has resigned as the head men’s basketball coach at Western Nebraska CC.  He will remain at the college until July 31st when his contract runs out.  Beck will then be moving to Utah where he has accepted a coaching and teaching position at Mountain Crest HS (Logan, UT).  He had been at WNCC for the past seven seasons – his squad went 18-14 this past year, and he will wrap up his tenure with 125 total wins.  Beck is a JUCO veteran who spent time as an assistant at Dixie State College, Salt Lake Community College, and the College of Southern Idaho. He also spent one season as an assistant at the NCAA division I level at Southern Utah University.
