Daily Dirt – 5/13/16

Here are a bunch of things that I’ve heard…

  • Brandon Dunson has become the video and recruiting assistant at Stanford. The former Arizona State player has been an assistant at Arizona Christian University since 2013.
  • I have heard that Tony Chiles is no longer an assistant at Fordham. The New York native and former St. John’s assistant had spent one season at Fordham. Rumors are swirling that his replacement is a West Coast guy with East Coast Connections. More on this as I hear it.
  • Loyola Marymount Associate head coach John Peterson has resigned and joined Vancouver, Washington based Shoot 360 – a high tech basketball training company. He had been at LMU for the past two seasons after spending 14 years as the head coach at Ohlone College (300-126).
  • Isaac Chew has been hired as an assistant at Texas A&M. He has spent the past two seasons as an assistant at Virginia Tech, and has also worked at Marquette, Missouri, and Murray State.
  • It sounds like St. Francis (PA) assistant Will Holland will replace Ben Wilkins on Jamion Christian’s staff at Mount St. Mary’s. He is an alum of The Mount who has been at St. Francis for the past three seasons. He would replace Ben Wilkins who became an assistant at Army last month.
  • I have heard that searches at two DII schools have wrapped up. It sounds like announcements from Millersville (PA) and Cal State Los Angeles are imminent. I have both names, but waiting for more confirmation before I run with them…
