Duquesne Adds Former Player Jeremiah Jones as Graduate Assistant

Duquesne University head men’s basketball coach Jim Ferry announced today that Jeremiah Jones has been added to the staff as a graduate assistant.

Jones, who was part of Ferry’s first recruiting class at Duquesne, will assist with all aspects of the program.

“We are extremely excited to have Jeremiah remain as part of the program that he played a major role in re-establishing,” said Ferry. “His professionalism, organization and leadership skills will really benefit us. He wore the uniform, and when you have the opportunity to bring someone like that back, its only a positive.”

Jones played in every game in his Duquesne career (103 with 95 starts) before suffering a career-ending knee injury 12 games into his senior season. He finished his career with 761 points (7.4 ppg.), 412 rebounds (4.0 rpg.), 209 assists (2.0 apg.) and 54 steals.

Jones, a team captain in 2015-16, completed his undergraduate degree in management – with a minor in marketing – this spring. He is currently taking graduate classes in leadership.
