Marshall University assistant basketball coach Chris Duhon was arrested early Saturday morning by Hurricane, WVa. police on a charge of driving while his license was revoked for driving under the influence. Duhon was previously arrested at the beginning of last season and was suspended by the athletic department for two months (Duhon suspended – 11/30/15).
The Marshall athletic department released the following statement earlier today.
“We are aware of the situation involving assistant coach Chris Duhon. He has been suspended for this evening’s game versus Western Kentucky while the department gathers further information. There will be no further comment.”
According to multiple published reports, Duhon was booked into the Western Regional Jail at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, and later released on bond.
The former Duke guard has been on Dan D’Antoni’s staff since 2014. A member of the Blue Devils 2001 National Championship team, Duhon played for the Bulls, Knicks, Magic, and Lakers over his nine seasons in the NBA.
