I have heard from a great source that Tulsa will hire Fresno State assistant coach Kenton Paulino. He will replace Kim English who became an assistant at Colorado earlier this week.
Paulino has spent the past five seasons on Rodney Terry’s staff where he helped lead the Bulldogs to postseason appearances in three of the last four seasons, including a NCAA Tournament appearance in 2016 and NIT appearance in 2017.
A former player at Texas, Paulino played in 106 career games for the Longhorns, and was a member of the 2003 Final Four team. He also spent three seasons on the staff at Texas as a special assistant after wrapping up his playing career.
An official announcement is expected shortly.
