HoopDirt.com can confirm an ESPN report that Kyle Perry is no longer the head basketball coach at USC Upstate. While there has been no official statement by the university, Perry, as well as AD Julio Freire, have had their names removed from the official USC Upstate website.
Perry took over back in October after head coach Eddie Payne abruptly stepped down. He then had the interim tag removed on October 20th and was officially announced as the new head coach. The Spartans finished the season at 7-25 (2-12 ASUN).
An official announcement is expected shortly.
