Last week, I mentioned that NJCAA DI Western Texas head coach Andre Owens was headed to Sam Houston State as an assistant (SHSU DIRT). I can now confirm that he will be replaced at WTC by recently hired assistant coach Kyle Cooper.

Cooper joined the Westerners staff back in July after spending one season as an assistant at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Prior to Gulf Coast Cooper was the head coach at NJCAA DII Little Priest Tribal College (NE), and has also served as the associate head coach at North Iowa Area Community College.

Additionally, Matt Hardy, who worked with Cooper at MGCC last season, will join the WTC staff as an assistant coach.

These moves are expected to be announced officially sometime this week.
