Bethune-Cookman University Men’s Head Basketball Coach Ryan Ridder announced that Donald Reyes has joined his staff as an assistant coach.
Reyes comes to BCU after six years with the Tulane Men’s Basketball program, where he served as director of basketball operations and director of player development. He played a key role on Tulane’s post-season appearances in the Collegeinsider.com Tournament (CIT) in 2012-13 and the College Basketball Invitational (CBI) in 2013-14 while also serving as an academic liaison and summer camp coordinator.
“Donald is the perfect fit to round out our staff,” Ridder said. “He brings great energy, is extremely organized and brings a high level of experience. Coach Reyes is a big time impact for our program on and off the court.”
Prior to Tulane, Reyes served as a graduate assistant at Arkansas State while getting his Masters in sport administration and at Frank Phillips College as an assistant for one year.
The Harvey, La. native graduated from LSU in 2009 serving as a student manager for the Men’s basketball team that made the 2006 Final Four and the 2009 NCAA tournament.
