Wake Forest has issued the statement below following the arrest of assistant men’s basketball coach Jamill Jones:
“Wake Forest Athletics Director Ron Wellman has placed assistant men’s basketball coach Jamill Jones on leave.
Wellman spoke with Jones today and he agreed that the decision is appropriate at this time given the circumstances.

Jones, 35, was arrested Thursday in connection with the death of Sandor Szabo of Boca Raton, Florida. Jones was charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor in New York, according to his attorney. The full story can be found HERE.
