Adam Kaplan has joined the Duquesne University men’s basketball staff as the Director of Student-Athlete Development. He most recently served as a player development coach and scout for the professional team Maccabi Haifa in Haifa Israel.
Kaplan, a 2015 honors graduate of Suffolk University, played college basketball for three years, including one year at Curry College and two years at Suffolk. As a freshman, Kaplan was named to the Jewish Sports Review DII/DIII preseason All American team. Before his senior season, he suffered a career-ending injury but stayed on with the Rams as an assistant coach under head coach Adam Nelson.
As an assistant at Suffolk, Kaplan was in charge of all social media for the team and played a big role in their recruiting efforts. Kaplan spent the 2015-16 season coaching at Wheelock College in Boston, where he assisted with day-to-day operations, player development, recruiting and scouting upcoming opponents. He spent the 2017-18 season as a graduate assistant coach at NCAA Division II Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla.
Kaplan has also coached for AAU teams in Florida (Miami Tropics) and Massachusetts (ASA HOOPS) as well as working multiple college camps in the USA and internationally.
