According to a report from Jon Rothstein, the University of Central Arkansas will remove the interim tag from Anthony Boone, and name him as the new head coach.
Boone replaced former head coach Russ Pennell back on December 16th, after Pennell took a leave of absence (he and the school then parted ways on January 7th).
Central Arkansas was 1-9 when Boone took over and finished the year 10-21 (9-12 on Boone’s watch). Before taking over, Boone had spent six seasons as the Bears associate head coach.
An official announcement is expected shortly.
