According to a report by the The Athletic, Jason Terry will be named as an assistant coach at Arizona today.
Terry, a 19-year NBA veteran and Wildcat alum, will replace Justin Gainey who was hired at Marquette back in April. Terry has most recently worked as the assistant GM for the Mavericks G-League team the Texas Legends.
The NBA vet played for 6 teams during his career – Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks, Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Houston Rockets and Milwaukee Bucks. He won an NCAA Championship at Arizona (1997), and NBA Championship with the Mavs (2001), and was named as the NBA’s 6th Man of the Year in 2009.
