Trent McErlane Named Graduate Assistant at Point University

Point University Men’s Basketball is excited to welcome new Graduate Assistant Coach Trent McErlane to the program.  Coach Deer said,  “throughout this process Trent rose to the top of the field due to his character, work ethic, and fit for what the Point University Men’s basketball program is all about.  Additionally Coach Deer said, “Trent came across through this process very confident, engaging, and excited for this opportunity.  I believe our student-athletes will benefit greatly from Trent’s experience academically, as a collegiate player, as well as, serving as a coach trainer for Point Guard College (PGC) over the past couple of summers.  Our program got better through this hire.”

Coach McErlane is a recent graduate of Mount Aloysius College in Pennsylvania with an impressive cumulative grade point average of a 3.24.  While attending Mount Aloysius College he was a double major in both Business Administration and Psychology with specializations in two fields, both Sports Management and Human Resources.   Trent served as a three year captain as of apart of the Mount Aloysius College Men’s Basketball program and garnered AMCC Academic All-Conference Team 2018, 2019, 2020 along with AMCC Sportsmanship Team 2020.
